WDC Chair, Yves Joanette, participated in the World Health Summit 2017 in Berlin, Germany on 15th to 17th October. The theme of the meeting was Science – Innovation – Policies.
The World Health Summit is the annual conference of the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies and is organized in collaboration with national academies of science in 97 countries.
The Summit brings together stakeholders and decision-makers from all sectors, and from all over the world to address the most pressing issues facing every facet of healthcare and medicine in the upcoming decade and beyond.
Yves Joanette took part in a workshop on New Approaches in Challenging Dementia hosted by the M8 Alliance, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, WDC and the World Stroke Organization. His presentation provided a global perspective and positioned WDC as a major coordinating body in the fight against dementia.
In Yves Joanette’s words, “The World Health Summit was an important opportunity to exchange and network with a variety of partners at global, national and state levels. WDC is honoured to have been part of this dialogue and collaborative effort to guide the future global health agenda.”
